Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
Terms of Service Privacy Policy Contact
The short version: your images and designs remain yours. We keep saved designs in your private library so you can come back to them. We may access them internally to provide support and improve Wall Art Creator, but we don't sell them, publish them or use them for marketing without your permission. The optional AI steps - Redraw as line art, Subject only and Describe - send that image (or, for Describe, your sentence) to OpenAI, as explained below. You can delete your saved designs whenever you like.
Terms of Service
1. What Wall Art Creator is
Wall Art Creator turns an image or a piece of text into a single-piece, print-ready wall art file (STL for 3D printing, SVG for laser cutters and cutting machines). You use it through your browser and download the files it makes for you.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the generator. You must be at least 13 years old to use Wall Art Creator; if you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. One person per account, please — sharing a login is not allowed.
3. Plans, designs and payment
Wall Art Creator Pro is a subscription: $20 per month, or $192 per year, billed in advance through Stripe. Pro includes up to 50 new designs per month, whether you subscribe monthly or annually; the allowance resets each month and unused designs do not roll over. One design is one piece — an image (or a text piece) plus the words on it. Everything you do to that piece afterwards is free: moving or resizing the words, adding a frame or hanging loop, erasing, bridging, re-downloading. New words on the same image, or a new image, is a new design. The word "design" means the same thing everywhere on this page.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled: monthly plans each month, annual plans each year. Before an annual subscription renews we will send any advance renewal notice that applicable law requires. Prices may change; we will tell you before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does. Some accounts (testers, friends of the project) are given Pro without payment; they get the same allowance and the same terms.
4. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any time, online, from Manage plan in the creator (Stripe's billing page) — no need to contact support. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for and it simply does not renew.
Refunds: you may request a full refund of a payment if you have used 5 or fewer designs since that payment — for annual subscriptions, within 14 days of the annual payment. A refund ends Pro access immediately. If you have used more than 5 designs, or the annual refund window has passed, you may still cancel, but payments already made are non-refundable and Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are requested from the FAQ on the site and are issued by hand, usually within a few days.
5. Your content
As between you and Wall Art Creator, you retain your rights in the content you upload, and we claim no ownership of the designs and files the service generates for you. You may download them and use them, including commercially — print them, gift them, sell them — subject to any rights that others may have in the material you provided.
So that we can help you and keep making the generator better, you give us permission to open and work with your uploads and designs internally: to answer your support requests, to reproduce and fix problems, and to test and improve how the generator converts, connects and builds pieces (for example, re-running a tricky image against a new version to check the result). This is only ever done inside Wall Art Creator by the people who run it. We do not publish, sell or share your images or designs with unrelated third parties, and we will not use them to promote the service without asking you first.
You must have the right to use the images and words you upload. Do not upload, or use the service to create, content that is illegal, that infringes another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights, that contains sexual content involving minors, or that is otherwise prohibited by applicable law. The photo redraw step may use automated checks intended to detect certain recognizable characters, brands and other restricted content; these checks are not perfect and do not determine whether you have the legal right to use an image — you remain responsible for the content you upload. If we receive a valid complaint about something you uploaded, we may remove it and, for repeated problems, close the account.
6. What you may not do
Please do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, share your login, resell access, or use automated tools to generate at scale. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Your design library
Your library can hold up to 200 saved designs at a time. When it is full, saving another design permanently removes the oldest one. We recommend downloading the files you want to keep.
8. Availability and changes
Wall Art Creator is still being improved. Features may change, and there may be bugs and short outages. We do our best to keep your library safe, but you should keep your own copies of files you care about. We may change these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and, for anything significant, we will tell members by email or on the site.
9. Printing is up to you
The files we produce are a starting point for your printer or cutter. Print settings, materials, and how a piece turns out are in your hands, and you are responsible for using your equipment safely. We do not guarantee that every image will convert well — that is why one retry with the other conversion method is free.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wall Art Creator is provided "as is", and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Wall Art Creator during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. If something between us cannot be sorted out by email, the courts of California have jurisdiction.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
Your account: your email address and your password, stored only as a one-way hash (nobody, including us, can read it). We also keep the date you signed up and the IP address used, to stop abuse.
Your designs: the images and text you upload, the settings you choose, and the files the generator makes (previews, STL, SVG). These live in your private library, on our server, so you can reopen, tweak and re-download them (up to 200 designs; see "Your design library" above).
Usage: which designs you make and when, so your monthly allowance and refund eligibility can be worked out. Support requests you send us, with their replies.
Payment: checkout runs entirely on Stripe's pages. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us the status of your subscription and, so that refund rules can be applied fairly, a non-reversible fingerprint of the card used.
We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on the creator. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who can see your images and designs
Only you and the people who run Wall Art Creator. Our support can open a copy of a design on our side, with your settings, to help you or to track down a problem, and we may use uploads and designs internally to test and improve the generator (see "Your content" in the Terms). Your own saved design is never changed by that. We do not sell your information or disclose your designs to unrelated third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes, we do not use your images for our marketing without asking you, and we do not use them to train any AI model.
The optional AI steps (Redraw, Subject only, Describe)
When you click Redraw as line art, that image is sent to OpenAI's image API to be traced into line art, and the result comes back to your library; with Subject only, a small copy of the image is also sent to an OpenAI language model so it can name the subject to keep. When you use Describe, the sentence you type is sent to the same OpenAI image API, which draws the picture — no image of yours is sent for that. Those are the only times anything you upload or type leaves our server. OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default, and that it may retain API abuse-monitoring data for up to 30 days unless longer retention is required by law or necessary for safety or abuse prevention; see OpenAI's current data policies. If you would rather an image never went to OpenAI, use Connect & make printable instead, which runs entirely on our server.
How long we keep things
Your library stays as long as you are a member. You can delete any design yourself from My designs — that removes the image and every file made from it, permanently. If your plan ends (cancelled, refunded or lapsed), your library is deleted automatically 90 days later. To have your whole account removed, email us from the address on the account: we will delete your account and library within a reasonable period. We may retain limited records when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or security purposes (for example Stripe transaction records).
Who we work with
We disclose information only to service providers that need it to operate Wall Art Creator, process payments, send account communications, provide the optional AI features (Redraw, Subject only, Describe), or host the service: Stripe (payments), OpenAI (the optional AI steps only: Redraw as line art, naming the subject for Subject only, and drawing a Describe prompt), Resend (sending our emails to you — welcome, support replies, password resets), and Vultr (the servers the service runs on). Each of them handles data under their own privacy terms and only for the job described.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect account and design data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Cookies, browser storage and Do Not Track
A single login cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also stores small preferences locally (for example whether you have dismissed the walkthrough or folded a settings section). No advertising or tracking cookies. We do not track you across third-party websites for advertising purposes and do not allow advertising networks to collect information about your activity through Wall Art Creator; because we do not perform that kind of tracking, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change how the service operates.
Your rights
You can see and delete your designs from My designs at any time, and change your password from the login page. Email us to get a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account. If you are in California, the EU, the UK or a region with similar rules, these are the access, correction, deletion and portability rights those rules give you.
Children
Wall Art Creator is not directed to children under 13, and users under 13 are not permitted to create an account. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
